Rash Decision

Hi All, I am looking here to see if anyone has experienced anything like this, or if I am just special.
This past Sunday I got my Covid booster (Moderna), and had a sore arm for a day, same reaction as my 2nd Moderna shot back in April.

On Wednesday, I noticed a light rash on my forearms and I started feeling warm, and indeed measured a mild fever, 99.5. This was a bit unusual, as I usually feel uncontrollably chilled when I am getting a fever, but instead I felt flushed - particularly warm ears. Since Wednesday my rash has spread to arms, legs, and torso, but not (yet) hands, feet, and face, and gotten denser, it is mildly itchy (mostly on the arms). The fever abated Wednesday, but the flushed feeling continued for a day or so. I have no respiratory or other symptoms.

I took a Covid PCR test on Thursday to rule out a breakthrough case (I read that rash is a rare - 1%symptom) although that seems very unlikely. I hope to get results back soon.

So I am thinking this could be:
1) Delayed allergic reaction to the Vaccine, (perhaps exacerbated by ADT? Would that explain the flushed feeling? I have not had any hot flashes previously) My 2nd vaccine was in April, I started ADT in June.
2) West Nile Virus - I had a mess o' mosquito bites while gardening in the previous week
3) Some other random virus.

I don't think it is contact dermatitis from gardening as I always wear long pants and the rash showed up on my legs. I have not had any other new medications or foods.

I too initially rejected an allergic response to the vaccine as the cause, being 3 days later. But there seems to be a delayed reaction to Moderna colloquially called "Covid Arm", (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamadermatology/fullarticle/2779643) but that is a localized, not systemic reaction.

Yes, I have been in touch with my doctor since Thursday, and this being a reaction to the vaccine is only one of several possibilities.

I am feeling fine - the rash is about the same and is still only slightly itchy, but I have no loss of energy, headache, fever, muscle aches etc. In fact I just finished putting up my Sukkah. Yesterday afternoon I started noticing mild neuropathy in my lips and tongue - a sort of tingly feeling and a food had an unexpected rough texture on my tongue. My doctor thinks this is some viral syndrome, but who knows? Thanks for checking in.

Wait until you've been on it for 8 years, mine are about kidney bean size. LOL

Didn't know where to put this...but think most of you read my posts either for what evah reason...watching a car wreck...or just like em and dont know why...got my Phizer booster shot it's been 8 mos since the other two...got the same s/e like second one but the seemed to last longer...xtreme fatigue,,,chills but no fever(wierd)...head ache...72 hrs less and less til felt my old self again....confusing...cause I forget which self I am from time to time,,,no laugh...stroke... put on eliquis...off plavix and baby aspirin...got a heart monitor implanted on stbernum(not a pace maker) doc diagnosed afib I got my own theory) but why quibble with him...eliquis seems to be the soup du "jour" but its rough on ya for brusing/ bleeding...I like the man but good insurance is a double edge sword(wont explain that ) If he goes a bridge too far I will just swim away like in psa shtick... do my own op on implant(writers license lol) like woody allen i aint afraid of dying...I just don't wanna be there when it happens...thanks V,,,dor borrowing the thread...most folks dont respond anyway and 'thats the way Iike it'...apologies to tha Kool's...come on gents...you got this
