Hello, BreakTheCycle ----
Thank you for posting. It's obvious you have care and concern for your brother. You are an ADVOCATE for him!
We all must remain vigilant, following a prostate cancer diagnosis.
Timely and consistent follow-up is important.
It's evident your brother is updating his lab work, with updated PSA scores.
Your brother is certainly welcome to join us here --- as a reader --- or even as a member, who wishes to post. There's a lot to be gleaned from reading here --- and posting here can be empowering.
Encourage your brother to stay in good contact with his medical team.
The rise in PSA is a sign that he may need additional treatment.
It's important for your brother to continue following up with his medical team. You have to be your own advocate, along the way!
Questions I always ask my doctors include:
* What "next step" treatments do you envision for me?
* Is this PSA level worrisome?
* When should we schedule and update scans ?
* Is there anything else we should be doing RIGHT NOW to maintain my health goals?
Your brother has everything to gain by remaining proactive and vigilant --- and continuing to have timely check-ups and conversations with his medical team.
Stay in touch with us --- and we certainly welcome your brother to join us here!
With my very best to you ~~~
