I feel ok no pain. Correction PSA .41 free PSA .3 . I have cancer so the ratio is probably a mute point. Hope to find out with an MRI how widespread the beast/blob is moving. Thanks for the reply

Testosterone 11.14 as proven by 12 hot flashes a day. Any clue on how long the hot flashes intensity changes over time? Thanks to all

Early on I found the flashes pretty bothersome. My understanding is that the wives of the married guys on ADT aren't really sympathetic towards the hot flashes. 😁

Over time the frequency and intensity has greatly reduced for me. Usually just once or twice a day, but always right before I go to bed. I haven't figured why that would be so.

Daytime flashes not a problem but at night they can wake me up. Mostly short duration at night .

2 MRI (w and w/o contrast) spine and thorax inconclusive on thorax clear on spine. One ono suggested surgery might help with cancer load another said surgery not that good of an option. Still pain free(minor back ache that comes and goes ) Over the counter stuff still works for back ache. Still on Lupron but casadex was dropped after 60 days. Hopefully 2022 is better for all.

Hope 2022 goes better for you as well and you get some clarity with your issues. Good to hear your pain is controlled with the simple stuff.

My wife has CT and bone scans every six months so have studied them quite a bit since she gets the imaging and hands me the disk when she gets home. In her case due to old injuries and arthritis, there are lots of things flagged which has the radiologist scrambling. The problem with a bone scan and a PET scan for that matter is that they only flag areas of concern and provide little detail of the structure. A CT scan w/wo contrast is used to look at the actual locations and compare to previous scans so an assessment can be made. So far she has had nothing that can not be explained even when there are new bone abnormalities from a recent fall and a white area just appears.

As you have probably read, the newer PSMA PET scans may be what you need to locate possible spread. With your PSA being suppressed with ADT, it may not show much but worth a try given your history if you can convince the VA. As far as I know, MRI’s are not the best for bone issues which is where the CT scans have an advantage.

Lastest PSA .2 . Surgery out for now. MRI's 2 one confirmed mets one no mets. Two different machines one agreed with xrays as no mets one of thorax said we got mets. So adding to lupron one of newer drugs and steroid (names not handy) Long road of HT. Happy New Year to all.

I hope you have a long run too. It's a slog living with ADT sometimes, but the operative word is Living.
