Lupron & Zytiga & RT Oh My

First shot of Lupron on 10/29/21. So far just minor hot flashes, nothing too intolerable. Will start Zytiga (generic) within the next week, and RT beginning in January.

Was hoping to avoid the long slog of HT but here I am. Just hoping to avoid the worst of the side effects. I did start back up on my daily exercise routine, and I am working on improving my diet.

I guess one foot in front of the other and hope for the best! Don't know what I would do without all the great information on this forum. Thanks all!

It has been over 1 1/2 years now and 0.01 and T is 0.07.. Worth it..... only hot flashes, but no big thing... a little weight gain, but trying to take it off. After shot once a month for two days I am out of it, but that is it...

I just found out my Zytiga dosage will just be the 500mg/day instead of 1000, so hopefully the SEs won't be too bad from that. My Lupron is one shot every 3 months. It's been 3.5 weeks since the first shot and do far just very mild hot flashes.

Have been on continuous ADT shots since diagnosis in 2013 ...

Have been on ZYTIGA continuously for over six years ...

45 radiation treatments thrown into the mix, as well ...

I'm in the fight --- my PSA is in the U-N-D-E-T-E-C-T-A-B-L-E range ---- and I am living life to the fullest.

My lesson learned?
