So it was 7 years ago today (Dec 4) that I got "the call" from my Urologist. My biopsy had been a few days before, and I got home from work to a blinking light on the answering machine (remember those?). The message was from the PA at the Urologist's office, to call them a soon as possible.
I called, she told me that I was positive for cancer, and made plans for the next steps.
My deepest memory of the day was that I went into a mentally stunned state. My wife wasn't due home from work for a while, and I just sat down and didn't really think about anything. There it was. The word. I found this forum a few days later, and the guys there helped me get my crap together. Some of you are still here, others have disappeared, a few have passed on.
Today? All good. Continence? Good. ED? no issue (with a little help from daily cialis). Looking forward to retirement in 2 years or so.
