My health history shown below ...
Long story, short ...
I have been on continuous ADT since diagnosis in 2013.
I was on LUPRON for a while. My urologist FAILED to test or monitor my testosterone levels. He is no longer on my medical team. I benched him.
My oncologist discovered that LUPRON wasn't suppressing the testosterone, so I had worrisome "spikes and flares" in my PSA.
We next tried FIRMAGON, which did not suppress my testosterone fully, either.
Last of all, we tried ZOLADEX. It has worked consistently, keeping my testosterone suppressed.
My lesson learned? When pursuing ADT injections - such as LUPRON, FIRMAGON, or ZOLADEX --- make sure your doctor tracks AND reports your testosterone levels, along with PSA. It's essential!
In my case, we had to try 3 different forms of ADT, in order to find the one that worked the best.
I also found it was not a problem, switching from one form to another. My oncologist oversaw all this.
Many doctors fail to track the testosterone, for fellows on ADT. It's essential that your doctor tracks this consistently, along with PSA.
In your post above, it looks like your testosterone levels tumbled down. That's a great sign!
We all focus on that PSA level so much --- but we need to track that testosterone level, too!
My lesson learned, in the first couple innings of the game!
With my best,
