Urgent question about side effects

i was on lupron for nine months. i remember slight bouts of nausea on a few occasions but they didn't last long. so really wasn't a problem for me. i doubt he is having ant SEs from lupron this early on

I can recall having difficulty when having SBRT, but check with his Dr.s' to find out if that is the cause. There are very few things of pleasure while we undergo treatment. Hope that you all get some rest and calm. Not real sure if Logo was trying to be helpful or not.

I never had any nausea from my ADT and I don't recall it being a significant SE either. I'd think any issues would be more likely from the radiation, but that's also not typical. I hope you get some answers from the RO and I hope it resolves itself quickly.

I have yet to have ADT, but a radiation SE for me was/is an urgency to go the the toilet for bowel movements. A sudden attack with a very short warning to get to the commode. The SE is somewhat better now - but still persists - just saying

When I got my first Lupron shot my anxiety and blood pressure were both high at the doctor's office that day. Your guy is facing some ADT side-effects that no one wants, and he has a long SRT slog ahead of him. That's a lot of stress. My guess is that things will settle down as he becomes more accustomed to the road ahead.

Hi everyone. It's been a busy two days so I apologize for not updating more quickly. The good news is that DH did not have any bouts of nausea today!

I want to thank everyone for their replies yesterday. It helps to know whether others have had similar side effects or not--even though the doctors have stressed that everyone is different. We saw both ROs yesterday--plus a bonus visit with a dietician!--and everyone seemed to think that the nausea/retching could be from the radiation. They said that it's early for that but not unheard of. Basically, everyone is different; listen to your body.

We now have onhand a large supply of ginger chews, ginger beer, etc., that he's supposed to take as soon as he feels wonky. If those don't work, DH also has a prescription for an anti-nausea medicine.

My husband also had an appointment today with a gastroenterologist. It was unrelated to the whole PCa stuff but was great timing. She thinks the nausea he might be from acid reflux (he has other symptoms) so she's putting him on an 8 week course of Prilosec. (Gotta run it by the RO first but there shouldn't be a problem.)

Logo: I think the word you're looking for is psychosomatic. The problem with your theory is that I didn't know that nausea was a possible side effect, so there's no way I could have passed it on to my husband.
