OT: Tinnitus and ultrasonic toothbrush

Prior to this thread I’d never hear of an ultrasonic toothbrush. I see my dental hygienist twice a year and she always gives me a new regular toothbrush. I haven’t had a cavity in many decades. Where did you even hear about these fancy brushes?

Sorry to hear about your tinnitus issues. I too have tinnitus. I've had it since childhood, and I've always been able to mentally tune it out. As a child, I thought it was the background noise of nature. It wasn't until mentioning it countless times, that I came to realize I was the only one hearing it. Then came high school and my rock band, and a lifetime of motorcycles. The accumulated sound levels didn't help. Before someone thinks I ride around with a loud exhaust, that's not the case; It's the 50mph wind pressure on my ears.
I've had many hearing exams, and examinations. A standard hearing exam tests bone conduction. Bone conduction may support your observations.

My Navy career took me to NAS Oceana for 3 1/2years. The office was next to the jet engine test cells. Sure enough Tinnitus and hearing loss later in life. Fortunately received a disability from VA.
