Got my Lupron shot today. Easy peasy, nurse knew what she was doing.

First IMRT treatment set for next Wednesday. Away we go!

Glad to know you're getting started. As to your libido question, I seem to think it went away pretty quickly. You'll find it's a bit weird not having any. Although sort of peaceful in a way--one less thing to worry about. Good luck to you.

**UPDATE**

12 Days post Lupron and 6 RT sessions in the books. Starting to feel some fatigue. Otherwise pretty normal. Didn't expect the fatigue to start so soon. I still walk 1.5 - 2 miles almost every evening after work. Probably should be eating better.

The RT sessions will end quickly. If you are only getting one shot of Lupron, hopefully your libido will return quickly. When the hot flashes start, dress lighter, stay cool both day and night and stay hydrated. Not on Lupron, but would guess most ADT treatments have similar SEs. When things start to shrink don’t get alarmed, it happens to the best or biggest of us. LOL. My best to you,

Hey y'all. Thought I'd check back in.
3-1/2 months on Lupron and feel like an old man.
Finished IMRT in mid-May. Easy peasy. A little fatigue etc but overall really really easy. I go back for my first blood workup post treatment in 3 weeks.
I have recently developed stiffness and pain in both hip joints. Is that normal / common? I have a desk job and sometimes after sitting for a few hours I can barely walk (maybe a slight exaggeration, but it hurts). I used to could walk 4-5 miles at a time, and used to run before my knees decided against it. I walk at least 3-4 times a week for a couple miles or more if I feel like it.

Called my RO about it and had xrays done today. Results showed some mild Osteoarthritis and Spondylosis. I get it, I'm getting old, but are these related to the radiation and / or Lupron? Or just coincidence? Anybody experience similar?

Most of my orthopedic issues have a history from sports earlier in life and past surgeries but arthritis, bursitis, etc starts creeping in around 60 and never really slows down. I have had pretty good luck with physical therapy for most things so you may want to see an orthopedic doctor to get a little better review of your issues. PT does not stop the deterioration but can stabilize joints or increase flexibility so you get further down the road. When you get to 70 you will probably feel like I do which is not great but I keep going without any replacements so far.
