So yesterday at my MO they asked me if I would like to be in a trial (at the VA). Supposedly these grapes given in high dose will help with fatigue and hot flashes.

Muscadine grapes are fat free, high in fiber and they are high in antioxidants, especially ellagic acid and resveratrol. Ellagic acid has demonstrated anticarcinogenic properties in the colon, lungs and liver of mice. Resveratrol is reported to lower cholesterol levels and the risk of coronary heart disease.

I haven't started yet.... This won't be the store bought ones....It will be a high dose

So, is this going to be administered as a processed supplement? If it's a clinical trial, it will most likely be a blind study. There's a chance you may get the placebo. My wife ate a lot of almonds when she had hot flashes. Apparently that helps too.

I live in southern Alabama not far from the Gulf coast and we have muscadine grapes growing wild all over the place. We have the muscadine, bronze muscadines and scuppernong growing in our woods.. I find they are juicy, and sweet, but most have a little tougher chewy skin. BTW, there are many commercially made muscadine wines. I am a big bold red wine drinker and don't drink whites very often. I do find muscadine wines taste a little medicinal to me.
