This is offered as a public service announcement. I don't know why this bugs me so much, but it makes me not want to read certain posts. There is a certain etiquette to writing online and it's good to know a bit about it.

Did I put a comma after the but again? If it happens again, I will put myself in punctuation jail. I hear it is a lot worse than prostate cancer.

theswan, “What a bunch of wise guys.” You are correct. I don’t think he or she counted on what a bunch of well educated guys and girls who could care less about grammar, but more about PC. After being on my toes while teaching for so many years, I am glad to not care about mistakes made now. There are posters here that have so much education, experience and research knowledge that it makes other forums pale in comparison. It was great fun once again to see the humor from all that are fighting this disease. I guess he or she did not need help with PC. Too bad, he or she would have found the best place to get any question answered related to what this forum is all about. I hope going forward you find relief from your SEs. My best to you.

I use italicized fonts because I CONTRIBUTE here --- I REVISE --- I REVIEW past threads --- I POST --- I RESPOND --- and I often ADD additional information or new details to my past posts -- even years later.

My posts are written in MY style - so I can quickly find old posts I have written --- from months and years ago.

You certainly have your style --- I have mine. Isn't that how it should be?!!

So, there's that!

Moving on ...

It's certainly YOUR choice whether you wish to read OR not read posts.

I'm certainly NOT here to critique posts for their grammar, punctuation, mis-spelled words, letter fonts, written style, formatting, or literary qualities.

I'm simply here to SUPPORT others. I certainly hope that's your goal, too.

I will continue to CONTRIBUTE here --- in POSITIVE ways --- which is something you may wish to do yourself someday.

To each their own!

Because, remember, he was a teacher, and a very good one I am sure, who must have taught spelling and grammar to hundreds of kids over the years.

It's thanks to teachers like him that kids today are literate at all.

And the ones who aren't, and regrettably there are many of them these days, the ones who can't rede and spel gud, really missed out by not being in the kind of class he would have taught!

Cyclone, where did you buy your TROLL SIgnal Light? I would like to buy one so I don’t get sucked into trolls whose posts lead to websites seeking donations. LOL. Your superior educational knowledge is beyond compare. As always my best to you and keep up the bold graphic posting. It is great for me as well to see when you have posted, as I do look forward to reading all you have to say.

Now --- in terms of the TROLL warning light --- well, all members here have that innate and intuitive R-A-D-A-R warning light.

I just happened to detect a little SOMETHING as I was reading here --- a possible TROLL -- lurking in the shade and shadows, under the bridge, as we all remenber from the childhood tale of THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF ---- and I feel strongly I was not the only compadre here whose WARNING LIGHT started to flash with that familiar RED LIGHT!

Onward! Upwards! 😁
