Nervous What Can I Do

Well, Dad had a pacemaker put in on 5/3. He did great with that! He had follow up bladder scope in 5/4 and there is something there in the bladder neck again (where the urologist had removed prostate cancer cells in January and believed he got it all). It could be scar tissue or a stone but believe the urologist is leaning towards PC regrowth. He has had urinary urgencies since having the first cystoscopy done along with some blood and blood clots when his Coumadin thins a bit too much. His PSA in early April was less than .13 which would indicate the Lupron is working, so it doesn’t make much sense to me. They plan to go back in mid June to get whatever it is out of there and have ut biopsied. If it is prostate cancer again already that is pretty scary! Dr wants ut out so it doesn’t cause urinary retention. Idk if they would change the hormone or add something for him to take with it. Anyone been in this boat? Seems like it just won’t die in the prostate bed area.

Before I knew that I had a bladder stone, I had urgency issues. That went on awhile before the stone grew in size, and then they were able to diagnose it. Let's hope that it is a stone. Thanks for the update on your Father.

Got the news today from the cystoscopy in May. Cleveland Clinic said the spot in bladder neck was prostate cancer cells again (same as January). Bummed! Was really hoping it was going to be benign. This has grown since it was removed in January. Makes me nervous that other area could have popped up or growing?!?! We all figured the Lupron was working since the PSA and testosterone were both down. The urologist is faxing info to MO and RO. Assuming this is a sign of CR? Expecting a scan to be done and likely an oral medication possibly Xtandi. Not sure if that medicine is cardiac friendly since he just had a pacemaker put in. I swear every time you feel like you are getting above PC it feels like you get dragged down. I know this is taking a toll on Dads outlook. I also know that it isn’t a death sentence but it is scary that the Lupron isn’t working, I guess. I’m ready for a PSA check. Last one in a April was less than .13 down from .4 on December 1. It just makes no sense to me! Thoughts? Suggestions?

Yeah, somehow some of the docs don't seem to realize the emotional toll a simple thing like a delay in getting the results can have. I have a bit of "test anxiety" myself.
