Outrageous Weight Gain Post-RALP

I'm about 11 days post-RALP and the weight creep has become alarming. Normally I'm about 200 pounds. I'm now up to 215. I keep telling myself this has to be water weight -- I'm being very careful about diet post-surgery and am drinking plenty of water. Still dealing with plenty of mid-section bloating, including thighs and ankles. But FIFTEEN pounds? Has anyone else here experienced this sort of increase post-surgery?

Yup. Fluid retention. Normal. I gained almost 20.
Took about 5 weeks to get back to where I was pre-surgery.

You should have told the surgeon to use helium instead of carbon dioxide to inflate your belly.

I to gain a little weight after surgery, probably a combination of slight edema and lack of exercise. And of course, being off from work for three weeks I snacked a little of those delicious tidbits.
