Had a prostectamy dec. of 2018, couple months later rising PSA, had radiation and hormone therapy, good till a couple of months ago, presently on lupron and extandi now, originaly it was a 5-4 , 9 gleason score, had a PSMA scan , showed up in a few lymph lodes, will i be on this treatment or a variation of it for the rest of my life? I know sometimes this treatment gradually fails and have to go to other options. terry Can anybody decipher this? pt3bpnocmo and groupIIIC

Hi Tsillik, I'm sorry that you have to be here. We are kind of in the same boat concerning diagnosis. I had my prostatectomy Feb 5, 2021. Pathology came back 5 + 4 G9, Pca was found in seminal vesicles and one of 11 lymph nodes. While I can't speak to your staging, mine was T3bN1. I would suggest asking your doc to explain yours. I started ADT (Lupron) in March of 2021 and 8 weeks (40 treatments) of radiation starting in June 2021.Still on ADT. My RO wants me to stay on Lupron for up to two years. Luckily my PSA has been undetectable at <0.05 since surgery. I am waiting to see what happens once I get off the ADT. I am tolerating the ADT fairly well. I think diet and exercise helps. I suppose I will be dealing with this in some form for the rest of my life. At the least, I will keep getting my PSA tested. I hope the very best for you.
