First thing was mention that it stated we reviewed the Partin tables with my stage value. Right off the bat, he wrote that I was at T2b/c stage. That was not right at all. Previous drs put down as T1C. (Could not detect cancer via DRE, had to do mri/biopsy to find it). There is a big difference in projections between them.
I know the NCCN guidelines state that if you can see it on an MRI, then it is T2. From their doc…
T1
Tumor cannot be felt during digital rectal exam and is not found on imaging tests but cancer is present.
T2
tumors can be felt by your doctor during a digital rectal exam. They also may be seen on an imaging test. T2 scores are based on whether the cancer is in one or both sides of the prostate. T2 tumors are found only in the prostate gland. In general, I have yet to be told anything by the doc that I didn’t already know through my reading. Visits to the doc have been confirmatory, as opposed to informative.
