Thank you all for the kind thoughts!
I do have a question for Cyclone about
which Mayo Clinic PSA test you get. I am perplexed whenever I see an undetectable written <0.1
0 (with a zero in the hundredths place) because I don't understand whether (a) it's the standard PSA test, whose undetectable is actually <0.1 and whose lowest detectable value is 0.1 followed by 0.2 or (b) whether it's some kind of ultrasensitive test whose lowest detectable is actually 0.10 and whose next-higher value is 0.11. To me, (b) would be a very strange ultrasensitive PSA test.
Looking at the Mayo Clinic Test Catalog, I see their
ultrasensitive test, which has an undetectable of <0.01 and the other test is the "
Diagnostic" with the "standard" (not ultrasensitive( undetectable of 0.1 ng/mL.
Can you shed any light on which Mayo test you get that has an undetectable of <0.10? Or did you mean to type <0.01 or perhaps <0.1? Given my understanding of your history, I don't see why the ultrasensitive test would be needed, but I could be wrong. Or is this another lab's test?
Thanks, and wishing you a long future of continued "<" signs, in either case!
