Not today beast,not tomorrow either. PSA undetectable 7 years 9 months

Hey Ya'll, Good news!!! On July 22,2022 I had my first visit/consultation at City of Hope, Duarte, Ca. I hand picked Dr. Tanya Dorff as I had seen many of her you tube videos about Advanced PC. That and her Grandparents, like mine were Lithuanian. I met her, she did not disappoint. She is a Rock Star Medical Oncologist and cutting edge Researcher and Clinician. She answered several questions, even though I had not decided to be a patient there and she could not herself take me as a new patient. However, she order new Lab tests and a CT and MRI scan for me so City of Hope Hospital can get a new baseline on me for future treatment under a new Oncologist, who will be consulting with her. Very pleased and I will be switching from CTCA to City of Hope in the future.

I told her I was a Miracle Man, which did not seem to phase her, she has seen her share of miracles and just encouraged me that my future would be better than my past as far as the whole initial Dx and path of earlier PC treatment.

My new PSA at City of Hope came result back as less than 0.008. Since last March, my former CTCA Lab results has a lower limit value at less than 0.014, so now at City of Hope, I am less than their less than undetectable limit , (joke here) lol. Since I started Zytiga in August 2012, that makes nearly 8 years now of undetectables!!! Most all other values are very good. Blessed to be ahead of the curve that takes down so many good men early with Advanced PC. Hopeful of a better future for all of us, we are all in this together, Brothers.

My journey pales in comparison to some, including my Brother, who recently nearly lost his life do to a series of watershed strokes and c-diff infection, sepsis and staff infections. He lost 40 pounds in the past 2 ½ months, but is on the rebound, fighting back, getting better and getting rehabilitation and some weight back.

Life is precious, enjoy your family, make every day count. There is hope, a whole city of hope! As always, Keep the Faith!!

Your PSA remains U-N-D-E-T-E-C-T-A-B-L-E ~ so much so, that the lab technicians with their EAGLE EYES can not detect a discernable trace of PSA.

You are always one who counts his blessings, and your treatment success is, indeed, a blessing.

I know you don't take it for granted, either, and you are always mindful of other brothers in the battle.

In terms of our journey with ZYTIGA (Abiraterone Acetate), we remain "birds of a feather, flocking together."

I know we both save our ZYTIGA bottles, to mark our progress and I just went and counted my bottles lined up on the shelf ~ 84 bottles currently, representing 7 continuous years I have remained on ZYTIGA.

I remember my oncologist starting me on ZYTIGA, as another new school year began, so ZYTIGA has carried me through 7 school years & the 4th graders I taught that year I started will now be getting ready for their senior year.

Meanwhile, Wings Of Eagles, you have 8 additional candles on your birthday cake, nowadays, since you started ZYTIGA! How about that!?! Those candles will surely IGNITE THE NIGHT on your next birthday! Hooray!

Keep adding those candles to your birthday cake & give thanks when you see their illuminating glow, each year on your birthday! The biggest slice ~ with extra frosting ~ is reserved for YOU, my compadre!
