Friday ponder: this is totally unimportant, but something I'm curious about ...

Well, I'm 69 now and diagnosed in October 2021, so I was 68. Still feel good, workout doing 350 push-ups and 350 pull-ups during my chest and back routine and 90 shoulder, bicep and tricep presses during my shoulder and arm routine. All of these are followed by a 30 minute aerobics workout on my iFit Freestrider or 10 mile bike ride. When there's no snow on the ground, I play golf 3-4 times a week. Love it!!!

Randy was 55 at diagnosis and is still kicking at 63. It's not bee easy, but here we are. Anybody else gaining comfort from the number of men on here who've been around for so many years past diagnosis?

First, thanks to all who have volunteered their current and Dx ages, which, by my most recent count, has been 25 of us! A good "turnout" of ages!

But it has also produced enough number pairs that I decided to have a little fun with them, and do a little quick math to see just what, if anything, they might tell us, pattern-wise.

Certainly I'm no statistics whiz, but even doing a little easy analysis is revealing, based on even this small sample.

So the first table shows a skewing of values toward the older ages, as we would probably expect. Same for the second table.

The third table would seem to be suggesting, if I am reading it right, the beginning of a normal distribution, with a mean of around 5 or 6, and slightly skewed toward a longer number of years.

Am I right about that, you math/statistics guys?

Perhaps those of you who are better able than I am to analyze data such as this may be able to detect other patterns, although admittedly the sample is pretty small.

But with all the age data that you all have so graciously provided, it's been fun to take a closer look at it, and maybe the above analysis really does tell us a little bit more about how our ages are fitting into our PCa situations!

I'm late to the party. We've been out of town and off the internet. I was diagnosed and treated at 65 and will be 77 in two weeks. I think I'm younger than that, but the calendar doesn't lie. Still, I feel as if I still have a number of good years left...maybe ten if I'm real lucky.
