Surgery was 12 years ago. All things considered, I've been very lucky, but when people say that cancer is "the gift that keeps on giving," they are absolutely correct.

So true... I just had my second biopsy of 2022 done two weeks ago.... BENIGN. The first one was the real deal and was surgically removed.

In theory, there's nothing left to slice off my nose... But my new Dermatologist still wants to see me every six months.

Well done clocknut ! 15 years for me, BUT, PSA has risen to 11.26, so back on the Casodex and Zoladex for a year, fingers crossed it still works.

Thanks for the update.

I wish I could shake hands with everyone in the forum.
The knowledge and advice has not only kept me in the know but most importantly eased my mind and made a miserable diagnosis tolerable.
12 years and still posting? Wow thank you.

Well done Clocknut!! Paul and you did the surgeries on the same month.

It has been 12 years. Paul’s result has come back at 0.02 this august after a series of 0.01s. We will do another reading at six months, we have been going yearly for years. It’s probably machine calibration, but just in case.

Lovely to hear from you again.

Thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread, but especially to An38. I well remember that Paul also was treated back in 2010, and for a while didn't we have our own August surgeries group? I can't remember who else was in the group. Here's wishing you Paul many more years of happiness together.

When I was first diagnosed, it was invaluable to read stories of long-term treatment success.

I was just hoping I could celebrate "one more CHRISTMAS" at that point ...
