That's an interesting question. I had surgery rather than radiation, but my Type Two diabetes started manifesting itself at about that time. I think it was just the fact that I was then 65 years old, and the timing was right for the onset of diabetes. When I taught composition, we always discussed the logical error called "post hoc, ergo propter hoc," which means that we tend to assume that because something happened AFTER something else, that it was caused by the event that preceded it. It will be interesting to see if others have experienced the onset of diabetes after similar treatments
By the way, I wish I had your stats. My blood sugar this morning was 150, and my A1C last week was 7.4, all this despite all the walking, biking, and other activities that I do every day, plus Jardiance, Metformin, and Ozempic.
