Pluvicto will be the 12th line of therapy for my 61 y.o. husband. He was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer 3 years ago. His last line of therapy (lynparza) lasted the longest. (7 months) We are hoping to get at least one more year together. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Mrs.BD, good to see your husband is in line for the new treatment. My best wishes that Lu-177 will be the silver bullet and your husband will have many more years with you in Ohio. My wife was young in Ohio before moving to Arizona. We are planning a visit there next Spring so she can see her old home in Chardon. Keep up the good fight and keep us updated. Thoughts and Prayers.

Mrs. BD that’s a lot of different treatments, hope it works and you guys have lots more time together. Evry day that goes by gets you to more and more advances in available therapies. 🤞🏻

I had my quarterly MO appointment today. He said the PCa section of the ASCO meeting this summer was all abuzz about Lu 177 PSMA (Pluvicto) treatment. My MO is cautiously optimistic for Lu 177 being a major treatment to manage PCa. It doesn't work for everyone, and has different levels of success for those who do respond.

We have a date - (crazy that the supply chain is seriously altered) Mid October assuming all of his blood work is on the up and up. I've been paying close attention to those that are reporting back with the response of LU. We have hope - that's all we have right now.

Mrs BD, We all hope that LU-177 proves effective for your husband. The thread that mattam referred you to has given hope to many of us long timers. As it offers a very different mechanism for attacking PCa than other therapies, which for the most part try to cut off the hormone fuel for the disease, it offers a new approach. I always follow your posts.

I think PLUVICTO represents an entirely new approach ~ and I am thankful this treatment is in your husband's future.

When I was first diagnosed, I remember reading an article about Dr. Scott Tagawa ~ and he was just leading the first clinical trials with LUTETIUM-177.

I remember thinking, "This is SOMETHING!"

I gave so much THANKS when members here began to receive these treatments, at long last.

We all know we need new and DIFFERENT approaches and treatments for cases with complexities. PLUVICTO is expanding that treatment landscape.

That IS the boat we row in, together ~ cases with complexities.

The calendar page will turn to September this week. I'm thankful your husband has treatments slated for October.

I will stand alongside both of you, and count down the days.

We are all here ~ united ~ sending our collective best wishes to you and your husband.

Please keep us updated on the treatment schedule. Let us know how things are going.

Thank you, Cyclone - The anxiety is over the top. Going without any treatment for many weeks is taking a tole. Looking forward to forgetting about cancer tonight with a drive and dinner out on the town with the love of my life. Doing my best to stay calm.

It seems like I've had similar experiences as your husband, and when faced with another round of chemo, I was blessed to have been granted use of LU-177 (aka Pluvicto now) at UCLA. My post, (LU-177 My next treatment) is the one you've been sent for review. That post details all my LU-177 treatments and results. PSA from 65 to 0.64 1 year from the first LU-177 treatment. Take a look at that. While my PSA is now starting to rise again (it's now 1.0) it was rising 25-30% per month before LU-177.

Steve/Cyclone - Thank you for the kind replies. My husband's first date was pluvicto was moved up to 9/23. Thank you for the prayers. We will pray for a great response and stay as positive as possible. We hope this drug gives you all many more days/weeks/months and years!

i will also start treatment with pluvicto in early october.my latest psa was over 1200.my treatment will run from oct.12 to may of next year at 6 week intervals.prayers for everyone that receives this in hope of lasting results.

Good luck Mickey. Aside from a hopeful PSA drop, if you’ve been experiencing any bone pain, there’s a great chance that will be reduced with pluvicto. Best of luck!!

*Update - Pluvicto Treatment #1
Jerry is doing well. From a caregivers perspective, it looked like he was on steroids and acted like he was on steroids for a couple days. We kept our distance from each other. We left our dog at our son's home for a couple days. Other than feeling stiff and having a REALLY good appetite he's doing great with the first treatment. Back in the day, I recall doctors checking on patients. This has not happened. Not a lot of information to give us either. OSU handed us a flyer from the Norvartis webiste and set him on his way.

Glad that Jerry navigated through the first treatment.

That boosts confidence, by knowing the pattern of the treatment and its specific protocols.

I found this to be true when I went through chemotherapy infusions and later a series of radiation treatments. So much is gleaned, after experiencing the first treatment.

It really means something to KNOW we actually have battle brothers HERE who are actually receiving this new treatment.

When I was first diagnosed, I was reading early reports on clinical trials with this approach. They were led by Dr. Scott Tagawa.

I remember thinking, "Now THAT holds SO much promise!"

And here we are today! It's actually HELPING our compadres here.

I'm thankful Jerry qualified to receive this treatment. I believe in its potential.

It's a NEW weapon in the castle armory.

I have been thinking of you.

You are both in my thoughts and have been remembered in my prayers!

Hello - First PSA after Pluvicto in September. It was a bump. 84 to 90.9. Scheduled for #2 treatment the first week of November with PSMA ordered before Thanksgiving. Side effects include numbness to right side of face. Pain here and there - nothing horrible. Not sleeping well. Appetite is great and still walking 5 to 7 miles a day - hits the gym a couple times a week. MO says not to worry about PSA now. We still worry. Hope you are all have a great afternoon!
