Wall-Guy,
You are very welcome for any insight my experience may have given you.
My URO also told me that there would be similar results between surgery and radiation. I think there are people that go straight to surgery without a second thought, and then there are types like myself. I always wanted radiation as my primary treatment but looked real hard to find a reason to go with surgery. In the end, I thought radiation better served all of the different variables for my circumstances. I didn't have ADT, so I'm assuming you may have more positive cores or pattern 4 than I did. I do recall my RO telling me that on occasion he will use Cyberknife as the sole primary treatment on 4+3 patients when most other circumstances are favorable.
I actually go for my three year post treatment follow-up visit with my RO in about a month. I'll have a PSA test in a few weeks and see how we're doing. Since my last PSA six months ago was 0.53, the URO felt I had reached my nadir. I've never had the first problem or symptom from the radiation, other than reduced ejaculate. My particular RO will follow me closely for six years. After that, he says I can go to annual PSA testing. Personally, I'll probably always go every six months.
I'll post my next PSA results as soon as I have them.
