Lu 177 trial.

Thank you Olmanhunk my Dr is Hiram Gay. He said I will be excepted. And now waiting on the paper work. The word I get it will be the end of Oct. I have some test to do. Again I hope you are feeling better. I will post again as I get more information.

Update: had new scans done Monday. Got the results today. No new lesions which is good. A spot on my spine showed signs of treatment response which is good. Had a spot on my rib that was bothering me a lot before my first treatment but the pain went away a couple of weeks after my first treatment. about 10 days ago, I was working on my dock and had to lay down to insert a bolt into it and then tighten it without dropping tools in the water. Woke up next day and rib was very sore. That was very concerning but as it turns out I guess I fractured it as scan show 2nd fracture that was forming a callous. My wife says that’s good because that means it’s healing.

Haven’t had a PSA done since Sept 16th but these scans are giving us a better marker. Exited to get the good news for a change. Only 2 treatments in and 2nd one was just 3 weeks ago. It appears as if the treatment is working and praying that continues.

Had infusion #3 this past Friday. Didn’t have the nasesu Saturday morning as I did the last time because my PCP prescribed me some Ondansetron for that. Haven’t had a PSA for a few weeks. Do have another set of scans scheduled for December 2nd. Haven’t decided if I should insist on a PSA or just wait fir the scans. They have said scans are the better markers.

I received word late last week that that my 1st treatment is schedule for Feb 9th, here in St louis. So now I am excited. Now waiting on paper work to get here.

I received my paperwork yesterday and no mention of it being a trial, It has my schedule of treatments and lab draws. I start Feb 9th, and the last one is Sept 14.

Thanks for checking in on me. Haven’t been on here much lately. Well put me down as one who LU -177 didn’t really work like I was hoping it would. When I started, my PSA was 6. During treatment it went to 13, then to 26 and most recently 38. That part sucks. I have had numerous scans during the process and they always showed the spots to be stable with no new lesions or spread. Drs put more faith in the scans than they did the PSA so we did all 6 treatments. Had my last treatment March 3. Had new scans this past Thursday and they showed possibly a slight uptick in one of my spots but everything else is stable.

Meeting with medical oncologist this Thursday to decide next treatment. Looking at a trial that combines CDK12 and immunotherapy plus one other trial I’m not 100% sure about. Haven’t mentioned chemo yet. I think that’s my next SOC if I don’t do a trial.

Not the news I was hoping for but not the worst news either. No spread is encouraging but the slight uptick is discouraging. I was in a pretty bad spot about Christmas time but feeling more positive and confident now.

Anybody had success with immunotherapy?
