Update, on 8/31 my Radiation oncologist's office did a PSA test, Dr. Harris gave the test results on 9/7, non-detectable! She told me I did not need to see here again and to just follow with Dr. Sartor. The non-detectable results made me so happy I was down right giddy.
A couple of weeks later I had another PSA draw done at Quest for Dr. Sartor's visit an again non-detectable at <0.04, Dr. Sartor said I could stop all ADT and if my PSA were to go up again, he would order another PYLARIFY PET Scan. Dr. Sartor went on to say, next time, if needed, he would order the scan at .2 vs .5. T level was at 16.
Yesterday, I had a Quest PSA done and the results are 0.04, the < fell off. and T went down to 14.
So, now at 64 I'm wondering again, is this my 3rd strike out? 7 years ago, surgery failed. Then 6.5 years ago RT failed. I started looking at retiring next year, but I will have to keep on working for as long as my employer will keep me in good group health insurance.
I'll keep reminding my self what Dr. Sartor told me back in March of this year when discussing RT again, He said he would be be very disappointed if I did not live for another 10 years, but you know you could get run over by a truck.
Keep the faith guys, I'll retest in 2 months.
