Having sex after isotope or lazer treatment

I'm 72 and my PSA score just went up to 2.5. I also have a small nodule on the prostrate. I'm waiting to have my MRI so the doctor can look at any suspicious area during the biopsy. I did take a urine test which is what I'm most worried about because the test said suspicious and there was a 68% chance that I could have cancer. I worried that I won't be able to have sex any longer. I'm also worried that I won't be able to have a climax if I still can have sex. Do you still ejaculate, is the sensation of a climax still the same?

Hang in there. I get it that you're looking into treatments and possible side effects while you're in the scared crapless phase. You have a slightly elevated PSA from your baseline--which is still well below the general level of concern for your age--and your doctor used the 'c' word, so you've jumped onto that as fact.

Reality is that you've got a really good chance of not having cancer at all. Second reality, is that if you do have a diagnoseable cancer, you've got a really good chance that either (a) it doesn't need aggressive treatment now or maybe ever, or (b) You'll be able to go through a single treatment that will be over in a short period of time and you'll put it in the rearview mirror and go on with life.

Please try to slow down and take it one breath at a time. At this point, "Dr. Google" is NOT your friend. When are your MRI and biopsy scheduled? I'd suggest trying to NOT focus on that over the next few weeks. Seriously. Here's what my Urologist said to me when my biopsy came back: "You have 6 months to decide which treatment to pursue". I suspect, based on your history and your current PSA, that if you do have cancer, you'll hear something similar.

Meant to say, if you do have prostate cancer there are many types of treatments available.
My brother had SBRT 5 treatments no pain and minimal side effects. He is fully functional and for him it’s like it never happened

Start researching what treatment offers the best chance of cure with the least potential for permanent side affects based on your biopsy results. One step at a time.

I had 2 forms of radiation plus ADT) and a green light laser and I’m still functional. Most likely with only one primary form of treatment you can retain full function.
My previous comment was based on my treatment obviously and being in the middle of a far lateral disc herniation after cataract surgery last year. The cancer treatment was easier.

Oh yeah, to answer your question, full loss of ejaculate, 80-90% full wood w/no meds
