Good day all, Just an update 6years after SBRT. Diagnosed Aug 2016 Gleason 7 4+3 1 of 4 cores positive. Had SBRT
Nov of 2016 thru a clinical trial at UAB in Birmingham AL. 5 fractions 6.25 gy with an 8gy intergraded boost to the tumor. Treatment was mostly uneventful except for 3rd treatment. 32 hrs of peeing pure volcanic lava a teaspoon at a time every 20 min. Since a few months after treatment everything has been good. Some blood in urine and ejaculate some times but that's getting less frequent. PSA steady between 0.1 and 0.126. Also I had Lupron for 6 mo about
3 before and 3 after treatment. Just turned 70 Life is good.
God Bless

I guess the doc is okay with the blood. Congrats on a nice outcome!

Good to hear from you, Chip. And I hope to hear from you when you turn 80yo. That means both of us will still be around.

Thank you chipmaker
I'm one year post SBRT and the hematuria is still present. It's not every time but several times a week and can last a few days at a time
I've read that this is not uncommon but still worry and am tired of it. I also have mild irritation and frequently along with mild discomfort in the prostate area.
Congratulations on six years out.

Hey Chip, great to hear. I had Cyberknive about
26 months ago, and except for what turned out to be a radiation bounce at 18 months, everything is well. Next PSA test in Feb, fingers 🤞 crossed as always...
