I will study up on the suggested topics before my consultations. Wow the layers of complexity are amazing. Sounds like surgery will reveal the most accurate assessment of how serious the cancer actually is, but perhaps carries with it additional "collateral damage risks." I will discuss these concerns with my doctors.

Why are you so adamantly against surgery?
life changing side effects are largely the byproduct of surgery or radiation after the prostate has been surgically removed. read the many tales of woe on this forum -- incontinence, untreatable erectile dysfunction, shortened penis, penile implants, artificial sphincters that sort of work, peronies from penile injections.........
