Update after Zytiga

After 15 days in Memorial Hermann....husband was transferred today to a rehab center. They will try to get his muscle strength back...but no idea how long that will take....because he still cannot stand without help or walk at all. He manages to move his body a few inches when on bed sometimes. But his kidney numbers are back to normal...now the goal is walk a few feet with a walker. We really do understand Zytiga is great for "most" men.....he just happened to be the one in whatever big number....that was not good.

All you can do now is stay positive. You and your husband have had a long road together, my hope is that the rehab will get him back on his feet, then you and your husband can continue down that road for a long time to come. My best wishes and prayers.

I'm thankful the kidney numbers are improved.

Rehabilitation centers can work small miracles, day by day, with specially trained staff, adaptive equipment, & individualized goals.

I hope your husband's strength increases. He has been through a great deal, beyond words.

I hope you start to see signs of recovery and progress.
