SteveO, I find the fact that you are having trouble getting up when down very interesting. Before starting ADT I only had trouble standing up straight when I bent over. That, I know was due from having two back fusions complete with a rod a screws. After, I started gaining weight, I noticed it became very hard to get up after being on my knees. That has progressively gotten worse over the last year. At times my wife has had to pull me back up.
I always thought it was from turning older. I am beginning to believe it is another SE of ADT, of gaining weight in the belly and loss of muscle mass in the legs. I try to do squats to strengthen my legs, but I can’t do many reps before my legs get tired.
It will be interesting to see in a couple of months if getting up improves after stopping the ADT and getting back to my normal weight. Or again, it could just be the natural progression of getting older. I do not however have a pain in my hip. Maybe a visit to a doc might help there.
I would be interested to see if others here have the same problem of getting up when down.
My best to you steveO.
Jack
