Oh size of catheter? I don't know and I forget to ask about the pediatric cysto.
But yes he was going to visualize and like I said, biopsy etc.

I know it stinks but with the patient portal this is how it works. They sit by a screen and punch in what they did.
Some is boilerplate same same stuff other info is more patient specific.
I feel like crap and hate this catheter. Feel urgency at times but it's all going into a bag.
Now I have to wonder if I'm going to be able to urinate once I pull out the catheter.
Hate this worry.
Hopefully I can sleep tonight.

Glen, we all feel your pain. Let’s hope your doc knows what he is doing and soon this will all pass. If it doesn’t, keep up the fight. Your worrying is to be expected considering what you have been through. Forget the booze and congrats on your sobriety. Take some deep breaths and start meditating on positive thoughts. I know it is hard not to constantly think about what is happening and what may come, but try to relax and think calming thoughts. When things are going bad for me, I put my mind at ease by thinking about the good things that happened to me or good things I did for others. As I said in a previous post, distraction is your best friend and will help you through this. I can’t wait for the day you report that all is well. Until that happens, know we are all giving you our positive thoughts and hope for the best outcome. As always Glen, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Feeling better but I'm having issues with leakage.
I'll get a strong urge to urinate and if I push, urine will spill out the sides of the tube.
Anyone know if this is usual?
I've looked it up but it's conflicted. Some say call doctor or go to the ER others say it's normal.
I suppose it's a spasm?
No blood visible which is good.

Gotta say it again. No cystitis!
Well the assistant doctor had my record so I'm pretty sure he's read it correctly.

As far as the bladder spasm goes, I had another and lost some urine but I had sat on the toilet so most went into the bowl.
I'm going to have to look up bladder spasm and see what it is and why it happens.
I hope it goes away. I'm guessing that it creates a lot of pressure and can force the urine through the catheter tubes side.
Feels more like a extreme urgency to urinate.
Still happy about the no lesion notice.
Weird thing is how a mere stricture caused so much blood and clots??

So glad they are going to go away.
Tomorrow I remove the catheter. I'm hoping they go away.
I guess the catheter is seen as a pathogen to the bladder and it tries to push it out.
Just a guess.
The pain is felt in the penis so I guess it's a refered pain.
Took a diphenhydramine instead of getting the prescription because doctor said it can constipate. Most urine is going into the bag.
Other than the urgency due to spasm, I'm feeling better.

Spasms have died down. I've been taking diphenhydramine and today took an Aleve which is an NSAID I rarely take them but I'm off the blood thinner for now and the combination seems to have worked on the bladder spasm.

Couple of hours and I take out the catheter.
Hoping for the best. No retention and no incontinence!
Fingers crossed.

I did urinate but not a lot of volume.
There's some blood but not a lot.
I'll drink some water and monitor

Glen PS I voided a second time and had more volume but some red blood.
I did a poor job of removing the catheter and pulled too hard. I didn't remove enough water with the syringe. I repeated it and much more water was removed and the catheter came out easily.
Hope I didn't damage tissue.
In any case I'll have to remain off Xaralto.

Swan….you mentioned you were on Xerelto earlier in the thread. I didn’t say anything then. But, this was my experience…

The abdominal surgery of my prostatectomy created a clot in my leg that was about 6” long. I was immediately placed on Xerelto in the ER. Shortly after…visible blood began to show up in my urine. We looked everywhere. The only thing we could come up with was a good sized kidney stone…too big to pass. I was on and off Xerelto during the stone blasting and my stricture dilation. Every rock had been looked under for the source of the blood. But none was ever found even though the bleeding continued every time I was on Xerelto. This went on for about a year. Xerelto equaled bleeding. No Xerelto equaled no bleeding. My doctors wanted me on the Xerelto for the rest of my life. But every time I was put on it the bleeding old begin again. This, even with much testing as to where the bleeding was coming from.

It was finally determined that no cause for the bleeding could be found. It was then that the doctors determined that gross bleeding wasn’t acceptable and that the Xerelto had to be stopped.

I had been on and off it for about a year when they finally pulled the plug on the Xerelto. I haven’t bled since.

Just one man’s anecdotal experience with Xerelto. I’m confident that if I went back on it the bleeding would resume.

Update
Stopped the Xaralto but still have bleeding. Not a lot and have a couple of clear voids now and again.
Kinda worried about stroke and may start blood thinner again.
Urine flow is good and even better than good at times.
