10 years - a milestone I once only hoped to see!

April 16 marked the 10 year anniversary of my diagnosis. Ten years. When first researching my diagnosis, and this disease, I realized 10 years was optimistic for my situation! When treated with ADT and radiation, I was aware of a small risk of secondary cancers from the radiation at 10 years out. I said if I'm around to worry about it at 10 years, I'd consider this a complete success!

And here we are. Much has happened, and life has changed in some ways, but I'm doing great!

It has been a ride, for sure. Meeting so many great people through all of this has been one of the greatest blessings. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but there have many positives from all of it. I owe a big thanks to so many who helped me through the many phases of dealing with this.

For those newly diagnosed, there is hope. There is always hope. Courage to all!

Jerry, I didn’t realize that our diagnoses were only two years apart. I guess when we met I just figured you were an “old pro” at this game. Well, now you are.

Happy anniversary. Nice milestone. I feel you when I was hit the 10 year mark I was happy and a little surprised. June I will hit 17. It seems strange to me still but I will take it. I raise a virtual glass to another 20 years. Much love, Todd
