Ten years to the day as the sun rises on our dispersed camping area above Hurricane Utah doing one of the activities we like which is MTB when I had my RP date with the surgeon.
Before this, in the fall of 2012 I was involved in a hotel/ sports bar development which had a few partners. To get life insurance on our business loans, we had to take a physical which for me showed a PSA of 7.2. Saw the URO who gave me a DRE and said that the prostate had some irregularities and he proscribed a biopsy which confirmed cancer.
After surgery, ten years ago and 2 1/2 months after, took a 2 month cycle tour in Europe. Continence good, minor ED.
5 years later with PSA 1.17, enrolled in a PSMA scan research project where 2 small presacral nodes were positive. Had RT and have been <.04 since then ( undetectable).
Pretty well every day my wife and I spend at least 2-3 hours skiing in the winter, hiking/ MTB/canoeing in the summer with our Mother and credit this lifestyle with the very few issues I have had with PC and any other physical problems that many of us experience as we travel into our twilight years.
