Well, if Iowa had a mountain, I would climb to the summit and learn how to YODEL ... to express my elation, after reading your post.

Lacking a mountain nearby, and no yodeling skills, you might hear "celebratory cheering" reverberating from the central Midwest region. That, indeed, is me!

I have ALWAYS been intrigued by the concept of repeated treatments, delivered over time, that can keep packing a wallop in this fight we all share.

I remember when I had TAXOTERE chemotherapy infusions ~ my oncologist stated future chemotherapy infusions would be possible, for me, as needed.

You are blazing this new trail with PLUVICTO ~ with your initial treatments, and now with the approval of this second series.

The impact is REAL! It's happening! It's helping! It's working! Cancer cells are on the run! Cancer cells ARE facing a cytotoxic fate! PLUVICTO's mighty powers ARE being documented!

Steve55777, I am SO happy for you tonight. I KNOW what it means, when a newly pursued treatment shows an impact ~ and I am so happy you are seeing impactful results!

Another update-- full of good news.
Had my 2nd Pluvicto treatment (of Round @) yesterday. The infusion is now less than 15 minutes duration. All is well today -- laxatives have done their trick; a little nausea, pretty tired---but otherwise fine.

Best of all, it's working once again for me. My estimated PSA at treatment #1 six weeks ago was 297. Last Friday, before 2nd infusion, PSA was 147!!

And more good news: my SoCal docs say they no longer have any problem ordering and receiving Pluvicto in needed quantities, and no shipments have been missed.

It fascinates me how life is all about perception. A PSA of 147 would drive most guys over the edge, but based on your history, it gives such hope! Congratulations!
DH 5th infusion is next week. PSA down from 194 in December to 22 Monday. Prayers for continued success to all who are undergoing treatment.

DYank-- great news on your PSA drop! You and I have been blessed with success from Pluvicto. I know not everyone has had that same success. You are right about perception--and attitude. I estimated that my PSA was around 295 when I began my latest Pluvicto treatments in May. Now at 147. That it's down by HALF at this stage is remarkable...

Steve: would you mind comparing Pluvicto at UCLA versus Hoag? I also live in Irvine and had my PSMA scans done at UCLA but noticed thanks to your post that Hoag is offering Pluvicto. Is there any downsides to switching to Hoag since the PSMA was done at UCLA? Thanks, Jerry

My Lu-177 at UCLA was before FDA approval and the process was far more time-consuming and cumbersome than it has become since FDA approval. My guess is that UCLA now administers pluvicto in the same manner as they do at Hoag. But if you’re in Irvine, that’s an easy decision. I work with Dr. Ulaner at Hoag sand canyon. As for PSMA scans from UCLA, that’s where mine were done. Next one I hope can be at Hoag. Good luck! Steve.

Yes. Been very impressed with Dr Ulaner. He runs nuclear medicine at Hoag. He was referred by both my onco docs at Prostate oncology specialists and at Keck USC in Newport. I never had a doctor per se at UCLA.

Well, once again, GREAT NEWS with my pluvicto treatments…. PSA just dropped from 147 to 55! And that was in just 26 days. So, I’ve had two pluvicto treatments, beginning when PSA was around 295. Now at 55.
Such blessings continue!
Treatment #3 is august 10.
This most recent drop in PSA was the greatest drop ever while on LU-177/pluvicto. Wow!

It's honestly jaw-dropping ~ the impact of this latest PLUVICTO treatment.

I'm sure you were elated, hearing that news!

When I was first diagnosed, that first LUPRON shot dropped my PSA from over 130 - down to about 30. That was the day I felt some newfound hope.

I remember I cranked up the music in my car, and unabashedly sang every song ~ all the way home!

I'm just so deeply THANKFUL to hear this news of significant treatment success.

What POWER it must have! It's undeniable!

I wanted to add something else ...

I was diagnosed ten years ago now, back in 2013.

My case had complexities, from the get-go ... treatments began the very day I was diagnosed.

It's encouraging to see NEW treatments & medications that have emerged since that time.

PLUVICTO represents a whole new treatment approach ...

Years ago, there were decades when no new prostate cancer treatments or medications emerged.

There will be fellows diagnosed with prostate cancer TODAY.

I am thankful for each new treatment approach and approved medication.

Steve55777 ~ I'm ESPECIALLY thankful that you are experiencing success from a SECOND round of PLUVICTO.

I think that's the ultimate goal ~ finding ways to take currently approved treatments and finding ways to use them in NEW ways or combinations ~ and to re-use them multiple times to help patients.

And, Steve55777, you are blazing that trail right now. I can't even express how much your experiences are INSPIRING all of us here!

Here's to blazing that new treatment trail !

Steve, I was so elated to hear the results from your first treatment. I had doubts about how well your second treatment would go. Once again I am shocked at how well and fast PLUVICTO works. I am looking forward to your next treatment in August and continued success down the road. Great news and as always my best wishes going forward.
