Just wondering with the Maui fires if anyone has heard from him.

Yes, Logoslidat is on Maui, or at least was as of 2018, as he himself told us in this thread from then, when Hawaii was being threatened by lava flows:

Aside from the current fire devastation in Hawaii, it's also true that Logos hasn't posted here for a while, leading some of us to wonder how he's doing.

If anyone knows, please do update us about his fire situation, and him in general.

The moderators kicked him off the forum. It was a while ago and he was not a young man so he may not be around any longer

He posted about 17 times in March 2022 and then NADA.. I did see mention that he was recovering from a stroke?!?!?

Yeah I would just like to know if he is okay. Wasn't sure if any of his friends here still talked to him

One of the more interesting people that posted here. I wonder if in person he spoke like he wrote!

There was only one post I could properly decipher. The one where he told us he was recovering from a stroke, and we all wished him well.

Did the mods really kick him off? It sounded like he was just going to take a break, but I did not speak logoslidat smile

I often wonder how he’s doing. If he’s even still alive.

Somewhat of a polarizing figure…his posts helped many people, including myself. His writings were were many times written in code. Once that code was broken, they became much more intelligible (for the most part).

I’ve kept many of his posts. They still bring me peace and remain uplifting after so many years. Prostate cancer or no.

For all of his antagonism, he had a love in his heart that resonated with many.

It’s that spirit that I believe kept his G9 at bay for many years…without treatment. There’s something to be learned from that.

I wish him well, whether it be here of in the hereafter.

Well said Island time. I enjoyed his banter. He once invited me to be his guest. We never made it to Maui. We live in a polarized world. Many of his posts rubbed some the wrong way. He ticked me off a time or two but once I got out of my own head his posts were thought provoking.

I went on a search for him.

Found an old PC forum, where he commented all of 6 times over 2 years.
According to this thread, his name is Jack.

Oh, and all of his comments were not in the style we are accustomed to. He spoke much like we do.
But, I'm guessing he found his style by the name of the town in Hawaii he lives. Haiku

I have not heard from him but will email him and let him know that we are wondering about his well being given the recent fires.

BTW, he has the email addresses of the mods and is welcome to come back as long as he is willing to follow the forum rules. All is has to do is request reinstatement and state his agreement to follow the rules...no need for him to change his writing style!

Logo was an acquired taste. After a while, I started to understand him then started wondering if there was something wrong with me. I also hope he is well and safe.

Logo reminded me of the guy in HS that was cool in a non athletic or non scholarly way, and I seemed to gravitate towards.
He was just plain cool!
