are not really an issue, although I get a few. The aches all over are a pain though. Really affected my long walks.
Body aches all over, shoulders, back, hips, knees, you name it! Sleeping Ok after Dr. put me on Trazodone.
Helps a lot. Also, endless peeing. Don K's comment on pee bottles is right on the mark. Endless, affecting every car trip. Anyway, good information here. Thanks for letting me in.

Bill , welcome to Healingwell. I’d like to say nice to have you but the reality is we all wish you didn’t have to be here but glad you found this. You’ll get a lot of support here and if you have any questions ask away there’s a lot of knowledge in this place.

Have been off leuprolides/enzalutamide for 2 & 1/2 years, still pee a lot. Carry a portable men's urinal bottle (Amazon) in my car for emergencies. Arthritis symptoms never went away, but am getting my mileage back slowly.

Welcome to the group. While we try to answer technical questions about PCa based on our experiences, I think that just letting people know they're not alone and providing comraderie is just as important.

I didn't see that you included details on your diagnosis and treatment. You can do that if you like by going into "edit profile."

Anyway, Lupron (ADT) is commonly used with primary Radiation, Radiation after failed Radical Prostatectomy, and as a lifetime gig after recurrence. Hopefully, you are on a temporary path with it. Side-effects are slightly different for all men. Like you, hot flashes have never been much for me. In fact, I never have them anymore, but they have been replaced by "cold flashes" where I get chills. I'm not sure I have seen it mentioned by anyone else on the forum.

Unfortunately, other side-effects don't seem to change for the better over time. The brain fog and back, neck, joint and head aches are ever present. Some days are better than others. Sometimes I feel that I know what it's like to be 90 years old. I use OTC pain relievers, which I hate doing. I alternate 3 types of them to reduce possible problems.

Anyway, I hope your Lupron tour is short, and again welcome to the group.

Just curious if your Uro knows of all you are going through? Having read your original thread, it would seem there are many more on Lupron that have the same aches and pains. Is your Uro reluctant to change to another form of ADT? I was on 18 months of the ADT Orgovyx. I experienced weight gain, hot flashes and tiredness in the afternoon. I didn’t experience any of the other SEs you have described. Orgovyx took my T level to almost zero and PSA to undetectable. It is a once a day pill that is easily taken in the morning.
Just wondering if your Uro would be willing to put you on something with less SEs.
In any case we are here to help support you regardless of what you choose to do.

Thanks to you all. Appreciate it! You know, I don't recall the "gleeson" number. Maybe 3-4. It was in 2 areas.
Anyway, 28 treatments of radiation, and Lupron or Eligard every 6 months. Getting ready for shot 3. That hormone shot has me tired and weak all over with aches everywhere! I take a 3 mile walk daily, much of it elevated.
Much harder to do now. Ok, Jack, thanks for your question. My Uro moved away last Fall. I have not met his replacement, but the original Dr. really gave me little feedback other than for the initial burning I had for weeks,
AND several UTIs. The oncologist is similar, little back and forth. I quit even bothering him. I will see him
in Feb, I'm sure it will be 'take Ibuprofen".

Hi Bill, I can relate to your arthritis type aches and pains. Throughout my 4 every 3 months Eligard shots, I experienced the usual side effects. It was not until about 3 months after the 4th shot when my T was still less than 20, that I began to have pain in my fingers and wrists. Pain is always there but flares up and intensifies at times.
I hoped it would eventually subside but no better almost a year later. PCP did bloodwork and Xrays but nothing denoted any inflammation or damage.
Still waiting for a specialist appointment!
Also my hips became very stiff where at age 70, I sometimes move like a much older man. I do stretching specifically for this and thankfully, it has not gotten worse.
I hope your pain subsides after your T eventually rises!
