I just got an AARP mailer referencing their drug card program with Optum Rx which might be worth checking out
https://aarppharmacy.com/Seemed to have a good home delivery pricing on Azelastine nasal spray which I use so may check out.
I also checked Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs and it can be good but requires some work on your part.
Mail order can be good for long term meds but sometimes the prescript
ion part gets tricky and then there is shipping costs, etc. Just depends on how much savings is involved and what the time requirements are.
I get most drugs at grocery pharmacy chain here, some insurance covered, some cash with their discount programs. I have most all drug sources nearby but try to stay out of Wal-Mart as much as possible and the crowd at Costco Pharmacy tends to be large. Not a fan of Walgreens either and CVS is further away.
The expensive prostate drugs can be a real variable between plans currently so that is something to lookout for if you ever need them. Since Medicare Part D drug cost will be limited to $2K next year, it will be hard to get hit too bad with the expensive meds ($2K is lot better than $12K). Could be that your insurance is changing as these laws change.
