Ken--May I propose an additional option? I'm not suggesting that statins are or aren't causing your hamstring issues. A physical therapist can often sort out the basis of hamstring tightness and pain, as they did with me, along with exercises that I've been doing ever since with good results. (For purposes of full disclosure, I, too, have dismissed all the theories about a big Pharma/statin conspiracy.)
thanks Tim. Im actually starting Physical Therapy this week, and I'm hoping it works. I had the same issue last year and it helped. But this week I plan to discuss not only stretching it out and healing the injury, but what I can do at home to strengthen the hamstrings so I am less prone to this, I have constant issues with it. And as I said, when I see my cardiologist in May, I do plan on talking to him ab9ut the possibility that statins are doing this.
I cannot stand having physical limitations. I have had to stop playing pickleball, and eliminate my walks, which makes cardio difficult. Only alternative is a spin bike, which is fine but need to change it up on occasion
