Ditto with Mumbo regarding BCa and PET scans. My wife has a recurrence from initial BCa bouts in 1996 and 2010. She had a PET scan last November and will have another next week. She expects to have two or three each year going forward.
When I was treated in 2010, the EBRT included the pelvic nodes. Worked great. My understanding is that Proton usually isn’t used for PCa salvage work, but rather for more focal treatment, similar to focal photon like SBRT. If you are concerned about covering all the pelvic nodes, there may not be an advantage to Proton. If, however, you have identified a specific node, then focal treatment might be indicated. Look forward to their assessment.
Also agree with Mumbo regarding Kwan and Sartor for advanced stage disease. None better.
