dry ejaculation after prostate radiation permanent or temporary ?

Hi all!

After 8 months of BT, 6 months of HT and RT everything slowly back to normal, libido is back and the plumbing all seems to be recovered but dry orgasm. So my question is this can be recovered or this is it done, nada..never?

After 8 months since all the treatment are done taking no meds for any side effects, i would says everything 99% back pre-treatment, morning wood night time wood, except dry, eventhough the feeling still there but still kinda weird and feeling incomplete without wet orgasim. I was hoping it's only temporary. But now i know not to expecting it in the future.

Not dry, but greatly diminished. No change in 13 years…….guess that would signal permanence.

I had dry orgasms after HD brachytherapy, but they eventually went away. Unfortunately, it's because everything went away (completely impotent now five years out). IMHO the orgasm sensation was exactly the same whether anything came out or not. I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't *********d once and seen it.

I had this conversion with a friend who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His biopsy was nearly identical to mine, including which cores were positive, 3+4, etc. This was maybe one year after I was treated, so I was still functional. When I told him everything worked and felt the same, but nothing came out, he took it really hard. I thought what I told him would reassure him, but it had the opposite effect. Three years later he's still doing active surveillance by getting an MRI every six months. I'm not even sure this is a valid way of doing surveillance. He's terrified of losing functionality.

For me, dry O's were no big deal. I don't understand the reaction myself, but I've never been a fan of oral sex, so there was no way either myself or my wife knew anything was different about my orgasms until I whacked off in the bathroom

Four years later (post radiation) - - still dry; although the physical feeling at climax is marvelous. The Missus makes jokes about "no more gooey messes!"

From PSA 8.7 to (last week) 0.4 and getting my altitude and perspective out of the cellar and seeing the sun instead of the dark clouds?

Small price to pay for getting my life back!!!

I guess it's all good, being alive is so much matters. Thanks to all my doctors at UCLA they've done excellent job as of now i virtually have no symptoms, all the plumbing, no sign of Rectum injury. My PSA is now 0.40 from 7.9 pre-treatment. I hope PSA stay that way or lower keep fingercrossed!

It's been 6 years since I had 25 treatments of radiation, followed by seeds. I'm almost 62, no issues getting erections, keeping it going sometimes is an issue. When I orgasm, it is not dry, it's pretty much perfectly clear and I would say 1/3 to half the volume. Been like that pretty much since my procedures.
