CAT scan is Clear!

 I just got back from my follow up and both my CAT scan and bone csan are clear so everything is confined to the prostate. The cancer is stage 1 but it's in a lot of places. 6 of the 10 cores sample were positive and covered 4 different areas. This dr. recommended the surgery.  i'm going to see another dr, on friday. If he concurs, I'm moving ahead. I just want to deal with it and get better. I know I'll hit some rough spots emotionally because it seems to come and go, but right now I'm enjoying the fact that my scans were clear.

Yeah Birdland! that is great news. best wishes to you as you make your decision. my husband opted for radical surgery without taking much time to get to that decision. if it had been up to me, I would have taken much more time and dwelt on it much longer. whatever decision you make will be the right one.....

Good for you, Birdland! Those negative scans are a high point. (The tech who was doing my husb.'s kept pointing out hot spots, which kept us in a frenzy for three days. They were just old injuries.)

Good luck with your next doctor visit - and moving it along!

That's great!! I hope Curtis has such good results.  We are just going to the first consultation on Monday...no tests  scheduled yet.
