I was just wondering, after reading the reviews re the pumps, if there might be a place where one could share some idea's that might be helpful. I have used the osbon and found it quite painful several years ago so I went about and experimented with various other things. I got frutstrated so I tried a prosthetic device that you get at those other sites. I used the tension ring as before and thru foreplay attained a moderate erection. I found a semirigid rubber like prosthetic penis that I could tightly fit into with some jell. After a while the jell gets tacky and helps keep the device on. It was a maybe 1 inch longer then my penis. This I found out acted like a pump as a pushed in it depressed the air space at the end and when I pulled out it reiflated which resulted in retaining the stiffnes thru a suction like effect which lasted as long as I was having intercourse and withhout the pain as previously experienced. Prior to using this devise I found that with just the tension ring the force against the end of the penis during penetration pushed the blood back past the ring and thereby losing the erection. So my invention kept the penis hard.

However you have to shop thru those freaky stores to get this and find the right size. So my idea would be to create something with a legitimate health care company. It would have to be some sort of semirigid material that the penis could be sucked up into and thereby vacuum locked until you are done. When I finished with my device I just pulled it off, it was tight but with a slow gradual pull it did come off. The draw back was that there is less sensation on the male part, but the female part it was the opposite. Less effort and a more satified wife. However to finish my part I pulled this thing off and slid a sleeve out of some sort of semi rigid jell , another devise I found at one of those freaky places. It was tight but with some jell I slipt it on. It was about 1/2 the lenght of my penis added a little girth and with the ring still in place and the extra squeeze from the sleeve it kept it rigid until I was done with my business. Therefore I had 2 satisfied customers. Her first me second, such a curteous thing to do.

Well what do you think? Should this be persued? It seems to me that there is room for improvement and maybe my ideas can be modified to be acceptable to the medical field. I think this might be able to help a lot of unhappy couples. I would like to brain storm with some one re this.

Pancho, I'd encourage you to try to invent something. I have to think that it is only because men have been reluctant to press the issue of prostate cancer that something better hasn't been invented.

A thought I've had: surgeons fashion functioning penises for patients having sex change operations. I don't know what all goes on there with nerves, but it would seem there's some usable intelligence there (i.e., are nerves grafted from other parts of the body, could this be done during a prostatectomy to boost function, etc.)

I have read all your postings for the last few months and have found them to be very interesting and

informative. I had my surgery last May and have had a rough go of it. By that I mean that I had a catheter for 5 weeks, and a very slow recovery since. I have not been able to gain control of my bladder, or able to get much of an erection, but when I do get a partial erection, then I do have some control.

I have recently seen another uroligist, and he has suggested that I be fitted with an artificial sphincter. (If anyone knows much about this procedure I would be delighted to hear from them.)

I thought that if I could get a good erection, that this might help. So after reading the articles posted here I ordered a vacurect to try it. After a few attempts I was able to get as good if not better erection then before, but the only problem was that I more then filled the tube and had to wait for the erection to go down before I was able to take it off. I called Bonro and told them my story and asked if they had one that might be larger, and was told that the device is made for 96% of the population and they suggested that I send it back, which I did this week. I always thought that I was fairly average, but then again I was not in the habit of checking out other guys manhood before.  I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem other then me, and if there is another system that is made for guys who seem to be above average.

Greetings to you all. I am now 8 months post op and doing well. I tried the Vacurect and while it worked OK, my wife and I did not really like it that much. But I persevered and used it quite a few times over the past 3 months that I have had it. Each time, a little better. I also was trying Viagra, Levitra and Cialis - the Cialis was the only one that did anything.

Now, I can get a good enough erection for intercourse and yesterday without the pump and without any medication. So it is coming back and sure feels good. It sure does help with the old ego! I will keep using the medications but not likely the pump anymore.

Just out of curiosity, I have the Vacurect pump along with all the rings and since it is easily sterilized, is anyone interested in buying it from me? I would gladly pass it along for half price! US$100.00. Any takers?

Anyway, this note was for Kat (and her hubby) and all the others who encouraged me back after surgery when everything was pointing down and about as energetic and limp celery!

Hi Kat and thanks for the note back. We are now in Phuket, Thailand on vacation and yesterday, with a little help of Viagra. the sex and erection was as good as pre sugery! Except, of course, no ejaculation! But awesome!!

I will go on eBay and see if I can sell it - worked good for me get things going again but not needed now!

hey Doug, you need to update your profile because you are now successful with Viagra and don't need the pump. I really like seeing the progress that all of us have made and are making. isn't it amazing how one day you'll be dribbling and the next, you have great control.
