Hi My 1st PSA test 8/06 was less than 0.1          2nd             11/06     less than 0.1          3rd              3/07                   0.1  the less than is not there this time. Has anyone experienced this ? Could it be the lab. Also what lab will give a more accurate result ? I have been using quest. Thank You all in advance. Jeff   1-22-2007 (reply on JWH thread) I used Dr Menon 6/29 got excellant results. Dr Menon said there is a 96% chance my cancer is gone & my erectile function came back very quickly. Dr Menon does approx. 15 surgeries per week, I got to see him in 2 weeks & was scheduled for surgery in 6 weeks. I would highly recommend Dr. Menon Good Luck   7-1-2006   Had robotic surgery 6/29 I had robotic surgery in Detroit with Dr Menon, I traveled from Florida to see him. In my opinion he is one of the best. He spared my nerves & removed all the cancer. Thank you to everyone on this site.   I had my robotic surgery thursday 6/29 catheter is being removed next thursday & I am flying home saturday.The first couple of days are uncomfotable, I have not taken a pain pill since friday. Today is sunday & I fell pretty normal with minimal discomfort. I could be up to flying home as early as monday if I wanted to have the catheter removed at home. If you want to tell me your questions that the doctor will not answer I will try I did months of research & will try to answer them. I am very much interested in your history of PSA tests, as well as your PC experience. I am conducting my own histogram on my thread here at healingwell. Below is my recent history with PSA and also note that I had another PSA Friday. I will have that result in two days at my oncologist office. We are discussing treatment on that day for chemo, HT or radiation since my post op stage is T3b N0 Mx. But as you can see with my history below, I may hesitate to do anything, or just radiation, if I can go to undetectable. I would love to see a number like yours Wednesday.

I posted a recent response to Magaboo's thread on post-op PSA testing. i appear to be a rare bird here in that I have already had a few post op tests just 29 days after the daVinci. Here are those results and on what day after surgery:

Initial PSA test October 3 '06 was 19.7
Second test October 10 was 18.7
Third test November 25 was 13.9
daVinci on February 16 - No test
First Post Op test February 28 was 0.9 ...12 days after surgery
Second Post Op test March 12 was 0.1 ...24 days after surgery
Next test scheduled for March 25.

Yes, it's great news to report that I just got the 0.1. I found out yesterday and we had some wine. We are testing soon again and I believe we can get below 0.1. Because of the grade G7 (4+3) and stage, T3b, this does not change my treatment options. I will begin Chemo (Taxotere) in April. That will be followed by radiation, either IMRT or Proton. We are home this weekend but will be back in the boonies next weekend. I needed to get some things done around the house. I bet alot of you have fallen behind around the house. I am way behind. In fact with company coming next week AND the following week, I will be working late tonite. Thanks again for all of your support. We are doing fine and getting out alot. I still walk alot and have a yard to care for this weekend so excercise is still no problem. In fact it's my best therapy. I have tried to email my music video a few ways but haven't succeded as the file is too large. I have made sone discs though and will be sending them out soon.
