Injection therapy

Thanks for the info on pumping after, that is actually one question I am planning to ask on Friday.  I was told that pumping after is fine, but it's definitely not the most comfortable thing.

Thanks. I started with 0.15, then 0.20 and next time will use 0.25. No rush to increase any faster since the response is usable and not wasted.

I do miss the spir-of-the-moment love making we enjoyed for so many years. Getting use to the 'planned' event will take some time, but at least I can 'surprise' my wife on occasion.

Just to share my experience using Bimix I started with 0.20 cc's which gave me about a 90% erection. I went up in increments of .05 cc's to 0.35 cc's. I got a fuller and firmer erection at the 0.30 cc level. It did not change any at the 0.35 cc level so I have gone back to using 0.30 cc's. This gives me a full erection in about 20 minutes and begins to dissipate at 45 minues. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to go completely away. If I go take a walk it goes away faster. I tried Sudafed but did not see any quicker response.

I did have one episode where I did not get an erection. I injected myself close to the base of the penis and it hurt more then normal and I got no erection at all. I did get a terrible looking bruise from it but no pain. That went away in a week. I now make sure that I am in the shaft and do not get too close to the base. So far, with that one exception, it has worked everytime.

Thanks for posting those formula numbers. I wondered if there were different formulations. Mine is quite a bit different. PGE1-10mcg, papaverine-12mg and phentolomine-1mg. I have to be very precise with this one. I only use .03cc. That is the 3rd mark on a .3cc syringe. If I get .04 I am up an extra hour.

Does anyone else out there care to post their formula numbers?

Great!! Let's hope it works consistently. Not having to deal with refrigeration would be awesome. Please keep us posted on that.

Since there is a lot of talk about Tri-mix, Bi-mix and various dosages in this thread, I thought it might be useful to point out that there are many different formulations of all the mixes. The compounding pharmacy that my urologist uses actually has four different formulations of Bi-mix that are labeled with Roman numerals I through IV. The first three use different strengths of papaverine and phentolamine. The fourth is a compound of phentolamine and PGE-I, and contains no papaverine.

Similarly there are six different formulations of Tri-mix with Roman numerals I through VI, and three formulations of Super Tri-mix with Roman numerals I through III. Each has a different mixture of papaverine, phentolamine and PGE-I. The mix that I am using is called Tri-mix VI, which includes 29.4 mg of papaverine, 1 mg of phentolamine, and 10 mcg of PGE-I.

Although I haven't seen anyone mention Quad-mix in this thread, there are also two different Quad-mixes that are compounded by my pharmacy. Quad-mix I combines papaverine, phentolamine, PGE-I and Atropine, while Quad-mix II combines the papaverine, phentolamine and PGE-I in different strengths with forskalin.

This was a revelation to me and I thought we should keep in mind in our conversations that Tri-mix and Bi-mix can mean lots of different things.

Mix mixing update,

So far, after many calls to compounding pharmacies, the mix is a Docs preferred formula which he/she has asked the pharmacy to compound. The Doc will then prescribe that mix to his/her patients, to be purchased from that specific pharmacy. Once a pharmacy starts making a specific mix, the original Doc will often inform other Docs within their practice circle, of how the mix works. Those Docs may use the first Docs mix or they may have their own preferred formula being made at another compounding pharmacy. If a pharmacy has several mixes available, it is usually because several Docs have requested different mixes from that pharmacy. Several Docs may be aware that there are several mixes available at a specific pharmacy and then may choose between those to fine tune for the patient. Consistency in mix formulas seem to be directly related to the Docs using a specific pharmacy. A compounding pharmacy generally won't have a mix available unless some Doc has gotten the ball rolling.

So.... The reason there are so many mixes is that they are all some Docs preferred formula.

Is that clear? Or do I need to try again?

Well, my second try with Bimix was a swing and a miss. darn.

I got a pamphlet from my urologist saying constricting at the base while injecting prevents medicine from escaping into the body, so I'll try that next.

For sh!ts and giggles, I have added my batting average with both PGE1 and Bimix to my signature...

I have been using the injections 2 times weekly. My doc suggested that it is possible to jump start natural erections by doing this. This morning I had the first usable-while-conscious natural erection post surgery. YAHOO!! Perhaps the doc is on to something here. I'll keep you posted...
