hello everyone! it's been a while since I've spent much time here but do think of all of you often. Jeff received his latest PSA results. <0.1 again! YEAH! It's been an interesting year, especially in the ED department. Jeff recovered from the surgery fine and his incontinence wasn't much of a problem either. once in a while he'll have a few dribbles, especially when we're fooling around. but maybe he has dribbles other times and just doesn't notice it? If I had posted on Aug 30, I would have said that he had not achieved an erection without the pump. at his one year appt (Aug 30) he informed the doctor he had switched to Viagra. he switched from Cialis because alldaychemist.com stopped carrying cialis and we just didn't want to pay out the big bucks so he got a sample of viagra from his local doctor and had no bad reactions, so off I went and got him a bunch from the internet. his doctor told him to take them on an empty stomach and to "activate" the pill within 4 hours. so on Sept 1 (a Saturday morning) he took a blue pill with his morning coffee and then we "activated" the pill a little while later. well, lo and behold, he achieved an erection worthy of penetration! we were so surprised and thrilled. he was jumping around saying "I'm a man again!" we all know that having an erection does not make you a man, but it had been bothering Jeff. we hadn't been intimate very often because of his frustration, so I told him that we should have been doing this all along and it probably would have happened earlier.
He just didn't like using the pump - he said it was too uncomfortable - and he refused to try injections. so we will continue along on our way - he's taking a 100 mg Viagra every other day or when we plan on "activating" it - the next appt is 6 months away - and pray for those 0 PSA results. take care all and God bless, kat
