Another friend with cancer

Hi everyone.

I found out this past weekend another friend and retiree from my old agency has found out he has prostate cancer.  He was scheduled to have surgery today at 4:00PM.  I have talked with him and gave him some hints that have helped all of us get through this journey and have even invited him to join us on this forum.  I know everyone here will be thinking and praying for him and his recovery.  I know that this thing affects one in six men but it seems if has that it has struck a lot of men I used to work with.  I hope there is no pattern there.

I will have him in my continuing evening prayer. i sometimes wonder about what we don't know about how we get this disease. I have no family history and no co-workers who have tested positive. I guess I am left with the guessing. God Bless you Mika! Your buddy has a good resource for anything he may need. And he can always come here, too.

Hi everyone.  I learned this weekend my friend in Raleigh NC who had prostate surgery last week did fine and his pathology was great with negative margins and is home resting very well.  Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts for him.  Everyone take care and a great April fools day to everyone tomorrow.
