Hello Ken,
I have been on Triple Hormone Blockade Therapy for PC for the last 9-months, under the guidance of Dr Steven Tucker who wrote the abstracts on THB with Dr. Bob Liebowitz.
My PSA has reduced from 19.2 to 0.057.
Night time urination has reduced from about 3 times a night to one time or less.
I have 3-monthly Zoladex shots, plus 150 mg/day Casodex and 0.5 mg/day Avodart (Dr. Liebowitz prefers Proscar).
Actually, I use generic Calutide (= Casodex) and Dutas (= Avodart) which are much cheaper.
Negative effects are (a) I have a muzzy head from the Casodex (b) for the first 3-months felt generally unwell (c) no erections, as to be expected (d) somewhat enlarged breasts.
My Gleason score was 3+3 = 6. DRE negative. Clinical stage T1c. Considered clinically localized PC.
Regards,
Steve
