FYI. If you're a Vietnam veteran and have prostate cancer, you're eligible for disability payments from the Department of Veterans Affairs. There is a presumption that the cancer was caused by Agent Orange. You need to show that you were on the ground in the South Vietnam (usually the DD-214 form is sufficient proof) and that you have prostate cancer. Payments normally extend for six months following the end of treatment. Most counties have a veterans service office who can provide details.

Blue Water Vietnam Veterans, who were eligible, have had problems getting Veterans' Administration benefits for the last few years. I applied when I was diagnosed and was given a case number by the VA with a letter explaining that they were awaiting the outcome of a review and legal proceeedings.
