Dear Lady

I have not been here long but long enough to know that your finger prints are all over this scene.  While you will be missed, I like all theothers wish ya'll smooth travel and a life of zeros.  Just please come occasionally and let us know how life is going with you two.

Bluebird you are a wonderful caring loving man, and Christ has put you here to unite people. I am thinking you have found blessings in this battle, and those blessings are for us as well. god has more in store for you my friend.

Dearest Lee and Buddy (and Murphy!),

When CJ was in hospital last year, I won a beautiful hand-made purple and blue teddy bear in a hospital raffle. I had never actually won anything in my life until this day of CJ's surgery. Having 2 children (a big one and a little one), I hesitated as to who to give it to, and ended up keeping it, for some smaller and more deserving owner (probably my first grandchild I have decided) one day. Meanwhile "Purple Bear" stays living on my bed now with a new name, and I have decided to call this special bear "Buddy". Hope you and the "real Buddy" do not mind! It gives me some small degree of comfort to do this!

Anyway, enough rambling.. We will miss your valuable input, and wish you much happiness and well-being on your travels. If it had not been for your encouragement I would not have posted our "story" either. So, thank you so much for giving both CJ and I this most precious invitation, and an opportunity to be a part of this great forum. Knowing that you will spread your wonderful Spirit wherever you go, I can only say that our loss will be the world's gain.

Thank you again from the bottom of our little ol' kangaroo-loving hearts. You and Buddy will always be in my prayers. May you be safe and happy in your travels. Lana & CJ & family.

As one of the newbies that you welcomed and helped in this forum, I just wanted to post my thanks too. Enjoy the rest of your lives and take pride and satisfaction in knowing that the footprints you have left will continue to help many.

Thanks for being there when I joined 16 months ago, you give us all hope, care and understanding when we need it. You will be missed but I am extremely happy for you to move on at to live life to the fullest, that's all any of us can ask for and wish for. Good luck and thanks for being a friend!

Aged 59 when diagnosed
Biopsy 6/07----4 of 10 cores positive for Adenocarcinoma-------bummer!
Core 1 <5%, core 2----50%, core 3----60%, core 4----50%
Biopsy Pathologist's comment:
Gleason 4+3=7 (80% grade 4) Stage T2c
Neither extracapsular nor perineural invasion is identified
CT scan and Bone scan show no evidence of metastases
Da Vinci RP Aug 10th 2007
Post-op pathology:
Positive for perineural invasion and 1 small focal extension
Negative at surgical margins, negative node and negative vesicle involvement
Some 4+4=8 identified ........upgraded to Gleason 8
PSA Oct 07 <0.1 undetectable
PSA Jan 08 <0.1 undetectable
PSA April 08 <0.1 undetectable

Watchful waiting until PSA jumped from 6 to 10

Cancer found in 1 core

Gleason score 6

Seeds implanted

PSA has been low since (don't know exact numbers)

Uncle (mother's brother) age 68

PSA jump from 2 to 8 in 18 months (2/08)

DRE was normal (2/08)

Biopsy (3/08) Cancer found

Bone scan (clear) 

Fine Needle Lymph Biopsy (Positive)

Gleason Score

(2) 4 + 3

(1) 3 + 3

(4) 4 + 3

7 of 12 cores positive

Waiting for MRI and another CAT Scan before radiation

Started Casodex and Eligard

I simply cannot express my heartfelt thanks to you for all you have done for me.  It is because of people like you that I have been able to continue this journey with confidence.  I am torn with this news - thrilled that you are moving on to new things but deeply saddened that you will not be here as often.

I wish you many, many blessings in your travels, whereever they may take you and thank you with heartfelt gratitude for the guidance, support and love you have afford me during my time here.

Oh, Lee and Buddy, it can't be true! I can't tell you how much you have helped me over the last year deal with my diagnosis, surgery and recovery. You both are special, special people, and I am so glad we had a chance to meet in person. If you're out this way again, you'd better stop by to say hello!

You've earned a good rest. Have fun on your travels and all the adventures life holds for you in the future. Please drop by the forum to say hello from time to time. We still need your gentle touch! Thank you so much, and all the best to both of you.

My sincere and heart felt appreciation to both of you and the all you have done hear.  Cancer did not create this site, Hope, Love and the thoughtfull consideration of others did.

Without the thought fll commitment of strong leaders like yourselves most of us others would become lost in the wilderness of fear and suffering. Your guidance has shown so many the path of knowledge, strength and ability to cope.

I am not as active on this forum as I once was because life moves on for all of us. I only discovered today that you are on another journey in your life now. Your contributions to this forum were enormous and your dedication was over the top. This forum would not be what it is today without you. Your words of help, comfort and spirituality meant the world to all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart--you will be remembered by all of us here whose life you touched at such a great time of need. P.S. Best of luck to the two new co-moderators (Doting Daughter and James C) who I am sure will add their fine contributions to this forum. The giving of your time and efforts are much appreciated. Without a doubt, this is the best prostate cancer forum that exists today in my opinion. It has been a blessing to all who have entered this website. It contains information that you will unlikely find elsewhere because we have been there on our journey with prostate cancer and have told our stories here.
