Carrying trimix on a short road trip??????

Does anyone have any good experience with transporting trimix on a weekend trip of something of that sort......maybe using an ice chest or some other means to keep it cool for those 2 or 3 days?

Danman . . in late January of this year we traveled from our home in Alberta all the way to Arizona and carried a cooler (ice chest) . . .complete with the trimix prescription. Each night we refreshed the ice in the chest from the ice machine in the hotel.

don't worry about it at all. the med is fine as long as it doesn't reach temperatures greater than 87 degrees F. I carry mine in my brief case and keep it with me when I travel. If the hotel has a fridge, I put it in there, but often it is out of the fridge for days. works just fine. call your pharmacy to confirm, but i learned this from my pharmacist.

Dan, I remember talking to Franck's about it, they said it had to be refrigerated, and even charged us 25 bucks extra to keep it chilled while shipping. Some form of refrigeration, either ice or portable frig is needed for Trimix... Sorry to contradict you, Mr. 41 sir.... sad They have recently changed the requirements for shipment and storage at Franck's. Bimix isn't and Trimix is now cooled.

41, thanks, but even if the 87 degree thing works, I live in Texas, where 87 degrees is a balmy Spring day....lol.

JamesC, yes, my trimix came in a cold pack...bimix did not.
