It has not been quite 3 months since my surgery and I could not be happier with my nerve sparing procedure.

Contenince is great and erections have improved greatly. Though not as good as pre op, (maintaining them has been a challenge), they are better than I could have hoped for at this stage. I have used no medications so far. After a hard day working in the yard, my wife & I decided to get in our hot tub. Something we haven't done for a while. Well, it was the greatest so far. Maybe I was more relaxed, the hot water, I do not know for sure. But it worked for both of us.

Now to get good news at my 3 month psa check.

...well, I'll tell you guys what, I've been reading and taking in all of the advice and experience you all have to offer, and it's great to have this forum and all of you here.....but now.......I have to go out and get myself a hot tub for that post op recovery!   Sounds like a pretty good plan..lol

Congrats Bob D.!! Nice to hear that things are "looking up" and only three months out with no meds!! FANTASTIC.
However -- not to burst a happy balloon here, but I was told that post-op guys should avoid hot tubs for at least six weeks or so after surgery. Something to do with the internal coagulation/healing process.

So to all you recent post-op guys, I say avoid soaking in hot water until you consult with your doc.

Hey Holy Cow!!!!!  What am I thinking???  I got a hot tub all fired up and I have not been using it except for the grand child to play in.  Thats it.   Grand Daughter out, Wife in.  Got to buy some big drapes though.

Ha - save your money and just go take a hot shower with your wife.  I have taken many hot tubs soaks in the 16 months since a RRP and never once did I get a rise out of "Willey".  One evening I was messing around in the shower with her and low and behold, Willie stood up and came alive.  Doesn't work all the time, score hottub-0%, shower 75%.  Worth a try and alot cheaper.

I also had my robotic surgery on March 5th in Birmingham. I will be going back later this month for my first post op psa and I am almost dry. When I go back I will be going through the ed clinic on self injections. My ed problems have not progress as much as yours but it is coming back slowly.

My wife and I also have a hot springs hot tub and really enjoy it. After reading your post I think we need to try it tonight.

Also on the ED. I guess patience is the key but the

good news is it's coming back.

At least you had fun. Having a great wife helps greatly as you

probably know.

I do know that prostate removal does not decrease the libido.

In fact I have more desire now than ever. Except maybe not more than when I

was a 19 year old Navy guy. devil LOL.

We tried it last night, and while it didn't do a thing for my ED, it sure helped my sore back!
